BLACK MIRROR Season 8 is officially happening at Netflix, with Charlie Brooker confirming that the dystopian anthology will return for another collection of twisted stories about technology, humanity and everything that can go horribly wrong between them.
Brooker says he has already started developing ideas for the next chapter and wants the new episodes to feel even more unmistakably BLACK MIRROR, continuing the show’s tradition of jumping between completely different genres, tones and disturbing versions of the future.
The renewal follows the acclaimed seventh season, which returned the series strongly toward its technology driven roots and earned BLACK MIRROR its first Golden Globe nominations, including recognition for Rashida Jones and Paul Giamatti.
Netflix has not announced a release date yet, so “coming soon” remains unclear for now, but BLACK MIRROR Season 8 is officially on the way. Reality apparently still has not become terrifying enough for Charlie Brooker to stop writing about it.
