3 BODY PROBLEM Season 2 is officially coming to Netflix in 2026, with humanity’s war against the San Ti about to become much bigger, stranger and far more cosmic than anything we saw in Season 1. Netflix has already renewed the series through Season 3, guaranteeing the complete story will be told.
Production began in Budapest with Jovan Adepo, Eiza González, Jess Hong, Benedict Wong and other surviving characters returning, while Claudia Doumit and Ellie de Lange join as new series regulars alongside Alfie Allen, David Yip and Jordan Sunshine.
Season 1 ended with Saul becoming one of humanity’s Wallfacers, Jin’s Staircase Project sending Will’s brain drifting through space and the San Ti still hundreds of years away from Earth. Creators David Benioff, D.B. Weiss and Alexander Woo say Season 2 is where the tone completely changes, with larger conflicts and a story that becomes increasingly cosmic.
