Best known to millions as Dr. Alan Grant in Jurassic Park, Neill also delivered unforgettable performances in The Piano, Dead Calm, Event Horizon, Peaky Blinders and The Hunt for Red October across a career spanning more than five decades.

His death was described as sudden and unexpected, with his family confirming that he had remained cancer-free after previously being diagnosed with angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma.
