Peter Okoye fires back at fans calling for P-Square reunion after dropping new song
Singer Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, has responded to fans who urged him to reconcile with his twin brother and former music partner, Paul Okoye, before expecting support for his new song, Can’t Look Away.
The exchange took place on social media after a fan suggested that Peter should settle his differences with his brother before fans would embrace his music.
The fan wrote: “You and your brother should settle matter first then we will consider your songs again.”
Peter replied: “Move on or move out. Your consideration is not needed! Enjoy the new hit or go get a life. Period.”
In a separate comment, another fan claimed that Nigerians would not fully appreciate his music unless he reunited with his brother.
The fan said: “Nigerians will never rate you without going back to your brother.”
Responding, Peter dismissed the remark, writing: “And who there rate help?… I am already known all over the world! I give no F*cks.”
The responses have since sparked reactions online, with some fans continuing to advocate for a reunion of the former P-Square duo, while others backed Peter’s stance and supported his solo career.
Peter and Paul Okoye, who formed the iconic music group P-Square, have had a history of public disagreements and reconciliations. Although the brothers reunited in 2021 after years apart, fresh tensions later emerged, leading them to pursue separate careers once again.
Peter has continued to release music as a solo artist under the stage name Mr P, with Can’t Look Away being his latest offering to fans.
