OFF CAMPUS Season 2 has paused filming as several cast members head off for World Cup related commitments

OFF CAMPUS Season 2 has paused filming as several cast members head off for World Cup related commitments, temporarily putting production on hold before cameras resume later this summer. While the break is expected to be short, it has already become a major talking point among fans following the show’s breakout success.

The new season is set to focus on Allie Hayes and Dean Di Laurentis, with Mika Abdalla and Stephen Kalyn taking over as the central couple in an adaptation of The Score. Production began in Vancouver earlier this month and remains on track for an early 2027 release.

Despite the temporary pause, there is no indication that the release date will be affected. Prime Video has been moving unusually fast with OFF CAMPUS, renewing the series before Season 1 even premiered and pushing straight into production after its huge debut.

What makes the wait so difficult for fans is that Season 2 is adapting one of the most beloved relationships in the entire book series. Dean and Allie’s story has been a fan favorite for years, and many readers consider it one of the strongest romances Elle Kennedy ever wrote.

For now, Briar University is taking a brief timeout. But with filming already underway and the next chapter centered on Dean and Allie, OFF CAMPUS remains firmly on track to be one of the most anticipated romance releases of early 2027.
